Fall is here! It’s finally time to light those scented candles, put on those cozy socks and, perhaps most importantly in this context, get out your Fall wardrobe. But what items should be in there to be “on trend”? I personally don’t like following all of the trends, but more to mix and match with trend items and pieces I already have in my wardrobe. This way is much more budget-proof and, in the end, much more personal. Almost Famous Writer has lined up the 10 hottest trends of this season, from velvet heels to furry coats.
// vivacious velvet
One of the biggest trends of this Fall is most definitely velvet. From completely velvet pant suits to velvet heels, everything is cool in velvet. Whereas before you saw mostly black velvet blazers and chokers, you now have blue velvet heels, pink velvet boots and red velvet pants.
// professional pantsuit
This is definitely one of my personal favorites: the pantsuit trend. Whether you wear a coordinated pants with jacket, like this baby-blue one from Topshop, or a jumpsuit, it will look both original and professional.
// pretty pink
A soft, dusty pink is the trend color of this Fall. You can combine this very feminine and soft colored jacket with a simple black turtleneck sweater and some black jeans for a casual, yet sophisticated look.
// brave bomber
The bomber jacket is one of the most-spotted items both in the runaways and street styles. All of the high street brands are selling them, like Pull & Bear, in all the colors of the rainbow and every fabric possible. Try to think outside of the box and pick a bomber jacket in an original color or a creative fabric.
// magnificent metallics
From one out-of-the-box fabric to another: metallics are making their intergalactic come-back this season. From shiny silver metallic shoes to gold metallic backpacks, everything goes this Fall.
// trendy teddy
Be comfortable this Fall and wrap yourself in a teddy jacket. You have coats in full teddy fabric, beautifully soft and cuddly, but also jackets with teddy fabric on the interior.
One of the most-spotted trends of this season is the choker. This necklace wraps itself around your neck and comes in all shapes and sizes. You can combine both the choker and the velvet trend, or include the metallic trend.
// midi skirt
The skirt length that is incredibly popular (and super convenient!) this Fall is the mid length skirt. It should flow just above or beneath your knees and you combine it in a million different weeks. You can wear a midi skirt with a big, comfy knit or with a tight-fitted turtleneck sweater.
Ruffles have made their comeback this Fall! You can go all out and ruffle everything, or keep it simple and subtle by wearing a classic blouse with ruffles.
// furry friends
After Kate Moss introduced the leopard print coat to the world, this has been a classic item. This Fall, the furry leopard coat has been spotted everywhere and it’s the perfect way to make a simple and understated outfit more interesting.
