This weekend will be one of firsts for me. It will be the first time for me to visit Concert at Sea, the biggest music festival hosted in my own little province. And it will be the first time for me to be at a music festival as an official reporter (dreams coming true here)! I will walk around the festival grounds of Concert at Sea as a reporter for 3VOOR12 – Zeeland an online music platform where we post concert and festival reviews, but also news and album updates.
So this Friday I’ll be traveling down to the Brouwersdam, where a unique mixture of local, national and international artists are performing. Scroll down to find out what artists I’m most looking forward to and of which you can definitely expect a review on 3VOOR12 – Zeeland next week!
Friday July 1, 2016 // 22:00 – 23:45 // Zeeland Podium
Friday’s headlining act is one of international (and almost historical) notion: Faithless. The duo, consisting out of British producers Rollo and Sister Bliss, has been a welcome act at both clubs and festivals for decades now. I, for one, am very curious to see how Faithless’ performance at Concert at Sea will be, as it’s an act that’s very different from their usual Guus Meeuwis and Blof.
Friday July 1, 2016 // 17:00 – 18:00 // Umoja Podium
HAEVN is an act that I’m personally really looking forward to. Their hitsingles Finding Out More and Where The Heart Is have been on constant repeat on radio stations here in the Netherlands and I really like the dreamy combination between indie and electronics.
Friday July 1, 2015 // 18:00 – 19:00 // Zeeland Podium
Perhaps the most popular festival act of the past few years: Typhoon. This Friday the artist will bring his multi-genre, extremely danceable music to Zeeland, with hits such as Surfen, Liefste, Hemel Valt and the bombastic Zandloper.
// Douwe Bob
Friday July 1, 2016 // 16:00 – 17:00 // Zeeland Podium
From the Eurovision stadium and the main stage at Pinkpop to the biggest stage in Zeeland: Douwe Bob is rocking and rolling. The singer-songwriter caught the attention of the world with his Eurovision track Slow Down, which I’m sure will be a great success at Concert at Sea this Friday.
// The Brahms
This last must-see artist is a big of a wild card for me, but this young band has caught the attention of the 3FM radiostation here in the Netherlands and thus I’m curious to see them perform this Friday. The Brahms have scored a hit with Golden, which has become the 3FM Megahit. Their music is definitely catchy and hopefully the young band will get the Concert of Sea terrain dancing.
And those were the five artists I’m definitely going to take a look at this Friday. Somewhere next will you’ll be able to find a full festival report on 3VOOR12 – Zeeland and right here at Almost Famous Writer. Want to keep up with me in the meantime?
