Winter in Bruges // Photo Diary

To celebrate our one year anniversary, Boyfriend and I went on a city trip to Bruges, Belgium. We picked this little town because it’s supposed to look magical during Winter time, with Christmas lights twinkling everywhere. With its canals and bridges and old houses, Bruges is like the Venice of Belgium.

Join me as I look back on a magical three days…

We took the ferry boat from Vlissingen to Breskens, which took approximately 30 minutes. The wind blew sharply in our faces and played with my hair, but we were treated with a view you can see in the picture above.

After we found our hotel, Hostel 28, we went for a walk through the beautiful city.

We had dinner at “De Gastro“, a very affordable place very close to the Rozenhoedkaai, one of the most picturesque sites of Bruges.

The next morning, we headed walked through the awaking city, towards the Begijnhof, with its many, many tourists, little white houses, swans and horse carriages.
